After finally avoiding the physio’s treatment tables for the majority of the season, Robin van Persie was able to show the Premier League his unique set of attacking skills for the first time during his 5 year tenure in North London since signing for a mere 2.75 million from Feyenoord. His ability on the ball was already well known, but persistent injuries and a rash temperament kept him from fulfilling his full potential. His tally of goals and assists make him a rare talent. A striker who can score goals from nothing, as well as someone who thrives on setting up his teammates. Here’s to this being the beginning of a long successful period for Arsenal’s next Flying Dutchman.
