Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez is a player Bayern Munich want to take to the Bundesliga, we know that much.

But we also know the forward isn’t short of suitors as Manchester City are among those particularly keen on keeping him in the Premier League, a deal the Gunners wouldn’t be expected to sanction this summer, and Paris Saint Germain have also been linked.

In an ideal world Alexis will sign a new deal at the Emirates Stadium and we all live happily ever after… However, back in the real world, ‘ideal’ doesn’t always happen.

Alexis’ Chilean international teammate Arturo Vidal has made it perfectly clear he wants the ‘spectacular’ forward to join him at Bayern Munich this summer, which came after former Bayern boss Ottmar Hitzfeld said the Arsenal star would make the German champions ‘a better team.’

Vidal told Sport Bild: ‘We’ll see if Alexis is coming. I do not know yet. I know him very well. He is a spectacular player. And we would certainly improve with him.’

Hardly something anyone needs reminding about, Alexis is out-of-contract next summer and is finally set to clarify his future in North London after the Confederations Cup in Russia – no new deal will almost certainly lead to an Arsenal exit.
