It`s not quite been made official yet, but it`s unofficially official that Columbian goalkeeper David Ospina is now an Arsenal player.

The shot-stopper impressed greatly during the world cup and the transfer has been mooted for the last week or two, but following Arsene Wenger`s comments yesterday that Ospina he will battle to take Szczesny`s #1 spot away from him, the Nice manager has now confirmed the transfer is 100% done and dusted.

He said ‘It is confirmed, yes. At 25 years old it is important for him to experience another championship, so it is a fantastic move for him. I think he can take the No. 1 spot at Arsenal because his qualities are very, very strong. He is very good with his feet, with his arms, and he knows soccer. He is a very, very good player.’

Arsene Wenger really isn`t messing around this year is he?
