A little over a week or so after Jack Wilshere took umbrage to Jamie Redknapp saying he couldn’t see the England international returning to Arsenal from his Bournemouth loan he’s now admitted to uncertainty of his own!

When Redknapp questioned his Arsenal future Wilshere wasn’t happy and insisted he was certain of a returning to the Gunners at the end of his season-long loan and having a future with the club he joined as a nine-year-old.

Now Wilshere’s told the Daily Mail he’s not so sure, although his main focus is this season and getting matches under his belt.

‘I haven’t really thought about my future beyond getting a season under my belt and just trying to improve as a player. I genuinely don’t know if I am going to end up at Arsenal or somewhere else.’

His well-documented injury problems have seen him limited to less than half a dozen matches for Arsenal since May 2015 with him getting some good minutes under his belt at Dean Court, having played seven-matches so far.

Wilshere went on to add he couldn’t see anything but finishing his career with Arsenal a couple of months ago, he certainly didn’t see himself with Bournemouth but he’s enjoying his time with them and football he’s getting.

‘If you’d asked me two months ago if I was going to finish my career at Arsenal then I would have said, ‘Yeah, of course.’ Two months ago I wouldn’t have seen myself being [at Bournemouth], but here I am, and I’m enjoying it.’

I’ve previously said I’m not convinced he will return to Arsenal even when he was adamant he would, following Wilshere confirming his own uncertainty I’m less certainty.
