Tottenham can now stop whinging that David Dein’s position with the FA is a conflict of interest, Double D was replaced as board member after failing to be re-ellected.

Despite artilces from lazy hacks claiming Dein has been axed due to his involement with Beveren, Manchester United’s David Gill has been voted in by the 20 Premier League clubs.

Dein has been underfire for quite sometime because, apparently, his role at the FA was a conflict of interests, even though the position was created for someone in the game with exact credentials as Dein, and now Gill.

It actually comes as quite a relief as I’ve been getting sick of explaining the situation to people who were more than happy to slag Dein off without actually knowing anything about his role on the board. They will no have no excuses when we hammer them next year (and you can quote me on that)

Let’s just see if Spurs have something to say about the appointment of Gill, as he is Chairman at another Premiership club……I doubt it.
