Tomas ‘Tommy Gun’ Rosicky has revealed his delight after grabbing his first league goal in the read and white of Arsenal.

The Czech Republic captain has scoed for Arsenal in both the FA Cup and the Champions league but before the 85th minute against Wigan, he hand’t yet found the net in the league.

Speaking to Arsenal.com after the (deserved) victory over Wigan Rosicky said: ‘So I have finally experienced it,’ said Rosicky on his official website.

‘This goal against Wigan came at the right moment as the last time I scored in the league was in May 2006 when I scored for Dortmund against Hannover.

‘Since that time I have been struggling to score.

‘Of course I have been scoring for the national team and for Arsenal in other competitions but I needed badly to score in the Premiership as well.

‘I can now be twice as happy as I scored with a header which, as far as I can remember, has never happened before.’
