A representative of Thierry Henry’s management agency has slammed suggestions that the Arsenal striker could be set for a switch to Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer.

Much like the rumors linking former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira with Real Madrid during his time with the club, rumors linking Henry with Barca just refuse to go away.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live Jeff Weston of the ESM Group denied that a deal had been, or will be done for Henry: ‘No such meeting took place. That is absolute rubbish.

‘There’s never been any question of him not being at Arsenal next season.’

Rumors in France had today suggested that Henry’s agent had already agreed a deal with the Catalan club worth over £6Million a year for henry.

Weston has denied any such reports, claiming that Jerome Anderson, Henry’s agent, is seeking legal advice.

‘It is all just media speculation, as it was last year, and the year before,’ Weston added of the latest reports.

‘It is all just media speculation, as it was last year, and the year before.’

He went on to say Anderson is: ‘seeking legal advice against France Football’.
