The Joy Of Cesc

Everytime Francesc Fabregas opens his mouth I am continuously left astounded at the way the young Spaniard handles himself in front of the media, to coin a very obvious cliche, he has an old head on very young shoulders.

In a time when releationships could be better between the Arsenal players and fans, Fabregas, off his own back, has headed straight for the frontline, dodging the preverbial bullets heading in all directions to come up with some quotes every blog writer lives for.

To hear a player speak such heartfelt words about the club I love, the club I have supported since I was a small boy, is enough to make me want to don my finest Arsenal shirt, head out into the street and serenade the local drunks with cries of ‘Fabregas, woooaaahhhh……..’

“I love the people here, all of the players and all of the staff,” the Spaniard said.

“We play fantastic football under Arsene Wenger, football which I really think suits me.’

“Everything I want is here at Arsenal.”

Fabregas is also a firm believer in Wenger’s policies of beautiful football & could never defect to the darkside of ‘anti-football’

“From my experiences in the Premiere League, I would have to say that I could never play like that because I am only really happy if we are winning games and playing good football, not being so happy to draw and play in such a negative way with 10 defenders.

“Teams just defend, defend and defend, they try to waste time, which I worry referees do not do enough about.

“I call it ‘anti-football` ? but we have to accept this happens and break teams down.”
