The worst season for defensive injuries in memory was deepened today, with the news that Sol Campbell has been ruled out of the clash with Bolton.

A turbulent week in the life of Sol Campbell was topped off with the news he will be out for two to three weeks with an ankle injury.

Speaking with Arsenal TV Online, Arsene Wenger spoke of our injury crisis.

?You will laugh, Sol has come back but he is out now because of a foot problem. He played two or three weeks with it but the injury became worse against West Ham.

?We had a scan and he will be out for two or three weeks. He cannot kick the ball at the moment. It is an ankle injury but not a ligament problem. It is bone bruising.’
