The Gallas Mystery

William Gallas suffered an injury with the last kick off the ball in training in November and has not played since.

Only yesterday Arsenal gaffer Arsene Wenger said that Billy had a small chance of facing Portsmouth at the weekend, but now Gallas himself has said he has no idea when he will be back.

Firstly, speaking about tonights trip to Wigan, Wenger said, “We have Kolo back, but he’s the only one from Sunday. Gallas is still out, Henry is out but Rosicky looks very, very promising and has a small, small chance for the weekend. Gallas too, maybe.”

And today Gallas said, ‘Unfortunately, I don’t even know when I will come back, the medical staff hasn’t informed me and I don’t even know.’

‘They told me I would miss four weeks minimum but I don’t know if I will play until the New Year.’

He then went on to talk about how he missies football in general.

‘It is something very hard for me. I don’t like to be injured, I was feeling very good, fit. It is a stupid injury that happened at the end of a training session, but I knew it was grave.’

‘I miss football, I miss the pitch, the atmosphere and I have missed three derbies, that is difficult to live with. I try to be mentally strong, that is why I don’t go to see the matches.’

Lets hope this all gets cleared up very soon by the sight of Billy in a red and white shirt giving his all at Ashburton Grove (or where ever we are playing)
