‘That’s a big quality’: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sings the praises of 28-cap int’l

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has claimed that Thomas Partey improves all the players around him as the midfielder comes closer to returning from injury.

The Ghanaian has been out since suffering thigh issue suffered in the 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur with the midfielder having walked off the pitch as Spurs counter attacked.

Speaking to The Sun, the club captain praised the 28-cap Ghana international midfielder for his character ahead of the clash with Crystal Palace.

Aubameyang said: “It’s incredible that we are in January and Thomas has played so few games for us so we haven’t really seen the impact that he can have on our team. It’s just not about his talent or his physicality, it’s who he is a person. He makes the players around him better and that’s a big quality.” (via The Sun)

Should Arsenal sign Leon Bailey?

Yes

No

It proves quite stunning that the Gunners are where they are this season, however, with their best midfielder out of action for the majority of the campaign thus far it proves understandable.

Mikel Arteta is in a great position right now, having been able to rest the former Atletico Madrid man during the club’s winning run. It gives Partey extra weeks to prepare himself for a return to the first-team, whilst the team’s confidence remains high.

However, the £45m man does improve those around him as already seen in the clash with  Manchester United back at the start of November. The African midfielder bombed forward all game and found passes in between the lines as he proved the main ball carrier. It gave Mohamed Elneny the ability to sit far more comfortably in front of Arsenal’s defence as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were starved of meaningful possession.

Partey’s return to action cannot come soon enough, and with his return having been secured, he can once again dictate play in the team’s midfield.

In other news, one player has claimed he has no clue why he has struggled this season.
