For a while there it seemed as though Arsenal had turned the corner in the injury stakes, after years and years of having the most horrendous the Gunners had had a pretty stable team for a few months.

However our luck has seemingly done an about turn with swathes of Arsenal players getting gunned down in November. In a matter of a few games we lost Walcott, The Ox, Ramsey, Arteta and Coquelin leaving us short both up front and in central midfield.

Arsene Wenger confirmed the pre-match team news today in which we found out we`ll be without Le Coq for a matter of months.

“Coquelin and Arteta are out. Arteta is short-term and Coquelin is longer. How big the damage is we don`t know but we will know for certain this [Monday] afternoon. Everyone from Saturday’s game is available and Ramsey is available.”

“It is at least a month [for Coquelin]. I`m a bit cautious as we have had so many bad surprises on the scans? but the team for the next few months will be without Coquelin.

But with the news of Rambo`s return we also learned we`re not too far away from The Ox and Walcott coming back into the fold.

“It looks like that at the moment. I must say we have been hit very hard in November as until November and the Sheffield Wednesday game we had quite a good record and since then we lost a few players. But now we have Ramsey and for the weekend Oxlade-Chamberlain will be back as well. After that Walcott will be the next one. [As for] the players who have long-term injuries, basically some of them are from last season like Rosicky and Welbeck.”
