Striker Blow For Wenger

Arsenal have this afternoon confirmed that Alexandre Lacazette will now spend six weeks out on the sidelines having picked up a knee injury.

The 26 year old striker has made 25 starts for us so far this season following his big money arrival from Lyon, and with four substitute showings he’s returned nine goals.

It’s not a serious injury but he has undergone a minor procedure on his left knee to correct the issue, having presumably picked it up against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, and with his rehabilitation period the expectation is four to six weeks.

It does of course rule him out of the League Cup Final against Manchester City on February 25 and a few other fixtures.
