Ryan Smith recentley returned from a loan spell at Leicester City with only one thing on his mind. First team football for Arsenal.

Smith made it clear he wants to succeed, to become a well known footballer and to break into the first team.

Speaking with Arsenal.com, Ryan spoke about his time at Leicester City and what he hopes for in the future.

?I want people to know who I am this year,?

When asked if he thought he’d achieved his goals for the season, Smith answered,

?I think I have, but there?s always room for improvement. The next step is the first team.?

?It was brilliant at first [At Leicester]and overall I?d say it went really well,? he said. ?I really got along with the manager that brought me to the club – Craig Levein. But he left in mid-January, the new manager came in and I didn?t really feature as much.

?So I decided that the best option for me was to come back and play regular football in the reserves for Arsenal.?

?I?ve been playing in the reserves long enough to know that whenever you play, you need to have an end product,? he said. ?But if the boss thinks I?m ready and he selects me, then I am ready to test myself in the first team.?
