As the mighty Gunners embark on a journey of massive matches over the next six days, the first of which being the second leg of the Champions League quarter final against Villarreal at the Grove tonight, Arsenal gaffer Arsene Wenger says he’s convinced the supporting Gooners can play their parts.

Arsenal fans haven’t covered themselves in glory this season (sections of the home support at least), seemingly booing our own just as much as they cheer them, but tonight marks a series of epics games coming up for us, and Le Prof believes in we Gooners to make ourselves heard.

‘I would want an intimidating atmosphere and I count on our supporters to be strongly behind the team in a fair way. England has a reputation abroad that the fans really have a strong voice behind the team. I am convinced our fans will do that tonight.’ said Arsene

As Arsenal fans we are used to being labelled quiet, and that our stadiums are libraries, and, in all honesty, this sometimes is right on the money (as it is with most stadiums truth be told) but we also know how to raise the roof, I’ve heard it, I’ve witnessed it first hand.

We’ve put Tottenham, United, Liverpool and Chelsea fans to shame, we sang so loudly against Real Madrid that my ears rang for days, so lets do the same tonight, let’s jeer every decision that doesn’t go our way, lets boo every touch from a Villarreal player, but most importantly, let get right behind our boys and cheer ourselves through to the semi finals of the Champions League.
