News from the Switzerland camp is the Phileppe Senderos will be out for six weeks providing there are no complications.

As reported by Vital Arsenal, Senderos suffered a dislocation of the shoulder and some ligament damage. The team doctor thought surgery maybe essential but that now doesn’t seem to be the case.

Switzerland team doctor Roland Grossen said,

‘We have had to immobilise his injury for two weeks and tomorrow we will take him for an MRI scan to see if there are any additional problems.

‘At the moment surgery is not necessary and that is something we have discussed fully with the Arsenal doctors.

‘He should be able to play again in five or six weeks if there are no additional problems.’

With Arsenal’s growing injury list, we all wish Senderos a speedy and complication free recovery.

  • I think he’ll be fine for us, though feel sorry he misses the world cup as he’s becoming a great player.
hope he gets a nice long rest now.

  • In the last paragraph u mention arsenal’s growing injury list. Who else is injured for arsenal?

  • Lauren, Clichy, Senderos, not a massive injury list, but with the prospect of losing both Campbell & Cole then there is real problem in defence.

  • The thing with these shoulder injuries is that they are very likely to happen again. At his age he should just have the surgery and be done with it.
