England manager Roy Hodgson has exposed himself as a man with massive sleeves after he claims he`s keep Arsenal full-back, Carl Jenkinson up there.

Jenkinson, a life-long Arsenal fan has a couple of options when it comes to international football. Born in Harlow, Jenks has an English father and Finnish mother & has represented both nations at youth level, however the player seems to have made his choice after training with the England team this week and leaving Hodgson admitting he`s waiting for the right time to unleash the full-back.

Jenkinson had a bit of a wobbly first season with the Gunners, however his footballing bravery and willingness to always keep going and never to hide won the hearts and minds of the Ashburton faithful.

However this season has seen Carl come on leaps and bounds whilst filling in for the injured Bacary Sagna, with some mightily impressive displays, indeed he`s playing so well he is a legitimate choice for the starting XI.

Hodgson though thinks it`s best to take our time with the player.

“On this occasion, we decided to… keep Jenkinson up our sleeves, but he’ll be very much in our thoughts when it comes to the next friendly match.

‘After speaking to Arsène I am also conscious that his rise has been meteoric. He’s only 20 and it’s nice to temper things a little bit, but he wouldn’t be out of place in the squad.’
