Whenever I talk about Tomas Rosicky I always do so with a little pain in my heart.

I love Tomas, he`s a fantastic footballer and a delight to watch, and I genuinely believe that with a little more luck in the injury department he could have been a legend at Arsenal Football Club.

However we do have to play the hands we`ve been dealt and Rosicky doesn`t dwell on the what ifs and instead gets on with helping his team mates just like he did yesterday, grabbing a nerve-easing second goal for the Gunners late in the game.

Tomas himself says that Arsenal weren`t at their best, mostly likely due to the crushing defeat at the hands of Monaco but battled on through to take a 2-0 victory anyway.

‘You could see that the lads were affected by it and the technical level of our game was not there, it was difficult as we were affected by the loss to Monaco but you go through disappointments throughout the season, you just have to fight through it.”<.I> He said on the club`s official website.

‘I`m glad we have these three points, it`s very important for the confidence of the whole team.”

‘It was a difficult game. We weren`t at our best after the disappointing night against Monaco, so it was very important to win and get the three points which we managed in the end.’

Rosicky`s goal might have had a touch of fortunate as it took a bit of a deflection, but as the old cliché goes, you can`t win the lottery if you don`t buy a ticket. The player himself was as happy as we were with his goal.

‘I was a bit lucky because there was a little deflection but I was in a good position, Mesut gave me a good ball because he saw me coming to the edge of the box from deep, so I shot towards the far post and got a bit lucky with the deflection.’
