Report: ‘Exceptional’ Man City ace returns to training ahead of Arsenal showdown

|

Kevin de Bruyne is back in full training ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Arsenal this weekend, according to Steve Mcinerney.

The ‘exceptional’ Belgium international has been out with an injury suffered in the win over Aston Villa as Pep Guardiola claimed prior to the clash with Liverpool he would be out for four to six weeks.

However, it seems he’s making an early return to full fitness with claims emerging the player is now in full training ahead of the Premier League fixture.

Should Arsenal hand David Luiz a new deal?

Yes

No

Arsenal’s struggle against Manchester City is well-documented, especially in recent times. The north London outfit have lost each of the last four league outings, conceding a trio of goals in three of the last four and the playmaker has been at the heart of them all.

In last season’s games between the Gunners and the Citizens, de Bruyne scored three of the six goals as he proved mesmeric. His display in the game at the Emirates Stadium was one of the best by an individual player as he notched up two goals in a first half that should’ve seen him score a hat-trick.

It seems Mikel Arteta’s men haven’t quite figured out how to play against the magician and with his return imminent, the Reds could be in for another long afternoon this weekend.

In other news, Arsenal could sell two players, according to Chris Wheatley.
