Report: Arsenal turned down by Real Madrid youngster after registering interest

|

Vinicius Junior is unwilling to leave Real Madrid and join Arsenal, who are said to be interested in the young winger, according to Defensa Central.

It has been further revealed by the Spanish outlet that the La Liga champions don’t want to part with the 20-year-old, who is said to be a part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans.

The Gunners have also been linked with Vinicius’ Real teammate Isco, who is thought to be up for sale this month.

Should Arsenal let Guendouzi leave on a permanent deal next summer?

Yes

No

The Brazil international is proving to be an incredibly versatile player for the Spanish outfit at the mere age of 20. He has already featured on both the left and right-wing for Madrid. His output on both wings has been more than ideal for a player of his age, 30 goal involvements in 90 appearances.

It does prove a disheartening the attacker wouldn’t want to make the move to north London especially with Arsenal struggling to find a suitable player to play on the left-wing.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has shown his limitations this season, proving incredibly underwhelming thus far this campaign. Meanwhile, Gabriel Martinelli is just returning from a long-term injury and will take time to get up to speed.

There also seems to be a reluctance to use Reiss Nelson in the first-team with reports claiming he could well be used as a makeweight in any deal to bring Emiliano Buendia to the club.

Arsenal used to be a club where all the young players dreamt of making a name of themselves. However, it seems that appeal is dwindling and with the latest news of Vinicius’ rejection, you’d have to ask yourself, how long can Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League?
