Arsenal are have listed Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma on their list of players they could sign, according to football.london.
The publication are reporting that the £11.7m-rated Mali international would be open to the move should the opportunity arise.
Bissouma is thought to be an Arsenal fan and knows Gabriel Magalhaes well from the players’ time at French club Lille.
Should Arsenal sign Yves Bissouma this month?
Having watched the ace this season, he could well be the ideal partner for Thomas Partey. Granit Xhaka has been inconsistent during the course of his Arsenal career and the club desperately need a replacement with Dani Ceballos and Mohamed Elneny also having their own weaknesses.
The Swiss midfielder has proven inconsistent in and out of possession this season with Wolves’ second goal an example of how poor the player is at being able to defend. Meanwhile, Elneny has proven far too negative in possession, whilst Ceballos has blown hot and cold.
Meanwhile, Bissouma proves to be a well-rounded midfielder who is able to shield a back-four. The 24-year-old has averaged a staggering 3.1 tackles per game this season, more than all four of Arsenal’s central options. He has also a pass accuracy of 86.3%, averaging 48.3 passes per game a show of his strong passing ability.
Arsenal used to be incredibly strong at the centre of the park, but, in recent years, the quality has dwindled a little. It’s no surprise Bissouma is an option for the club given how poor three of the four options are proving to be.
