Real Madrid v Arsenal

Arsenal face a vastly improved Real Madrid team at the Bernabeu tomorrow night! It still hasn’t sunk in yet, Real Madrid, REAL MADRID!!! I have waited all my gooner life for this fixture, and now it has finally arrived, and I don’t know whether I’m filled with excitement, nerves or dread.

Real Madrid potentially have the ability to rip our depleated, unconfident, lacking in imagination, off form team, but for some reason, I have a feeling we will get something from this mammoth task.

Football is, has been, and always will be a strange game with the ability to throw a spanner in the works of even the most competantly oiled machine, anyone remember Wrexham in the FA Cup? This is the first time in many many years when Arsenal go into a game with the odds of 9/2 on our heads, but still, we can do this.

Every season the mighty Gunners conjour up an awesome performance and give some poor unsusspecting ‘Big’ team a right good spanking, and this seasons is still to come. This time however, we need our big boys to turn up, with massive performances from Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg and Gilberto, we will stand a chance.

We need to score, I’m confidnet we will score, hell even a 2-1 defeat could be considered a good result. As has been proved on many occassions this season, Los Galactico’s are more than beatable, and if they are unlucky enough to find an all powerful, all battling, all attacking Arsenal, the ‘super stars’ will be in trouble once more.

COME ON YOU GUNNERS.

Vital Editor Says

Take the game to Madrid, attack, attack, attack attack attack.

Arsenal Team News:

Arsenal will be without Ashley Cole, Gael Clichy, Sol Campbell, Pascal Cygan, Kerrea Gilbert, Robin Van Persie and Dennis Bergkamp.

We welcome back with open arms, Jose Antonio Reyes.

Player to watch: Thierry Henry

Now is the time to make all the critics eat their words, ram them so far down their throats an Oxford dictionary will come out of their Arses.

Anyone fancy a punt on a Henry hatrick??

Real Madrid Team News:

They’re gooooooooooood.

Player to watch: You’re kidding right?

It would be more approprate to ask which player not to watch.
