With some playing 33 Premier League games in the 2016/17 season, this year’s Golden Glove battle could still take a twist or turn.
In contention for this year’s Golden Glove are Thibaut Courtois, David de Gea, Hugo Lloris, Fraser Forster, Lee Grant and Joel Robles.
However it remains possible that Petr Cech and Tom Heaton could potentially make a late run of things – but you certainly wouldn’t think it likely as that would require some unheard of end of season form from those sides.
Clearly sitting on 13 clean sheets for the campaign so far is Chelsea’s Courtois followed by Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris tied on the same number, and they are the clear favourites at the moment. Following them are Manchester United’s De Gea and Southampton’s Fraser Forster who each site on 11 – but in terms of a late clean sheet run you would think it’s now only those four – and more likely between Courtois and Lloris now.
Largely though there are enough games left for the table below to change so we’ll just have to see what happens.
