Positive Injury News For Once

Too little too late maybe, but Arsenal’s injury problems seem to have lifted, just a little bit.

For two years now Arsenal have had an queue for the treatment table as long as Paul Robinson’s shopping list, but as we approach a vital clash with Liverpool, it appears our problems have eased.

Arsene Wenger revealed the absent Manu Adebayor, Gael Clichy and Emmanuelle Eboue are set to return, with Gilberto being the only doubt following the international bore-fest.

“We have good news over the injuries from the international games,” said Wenger.

“The only doubt we have is Gilberto who had a kick on his hip. He will have a test on Friday. Apart from the fatigue factor everybody else looks OK. Eboue and Clichy are fit and they are back in the squad.”

To actually have a back four of Eboue, Toure, Gallas and Clichy playing together I believe will give us a vital edge over Liverpool this weekend and in turn, the upper hand in a vital clash for 3rd place.
