The Football Association have confirmed the Match Day referee and the officials for the League Cup Final clash between Arsenal and Manchester City this season.

Referee Craig Pawson will take charge of the showpiece affair at Wembley Stadium at 4.30pm on Sunday February 25 and he will be aided by assistant referees Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn. Graham Scott takes the position of fourth official.

Pawson has been a referee since 1993, working his way up the EFL ladder since the 2008/09 campaign and in 2013/14 he made the step into the Select Group 1 list of officials.

His previous experience at Wembley includes the 2012 League Two Play Off clash between Crewe Alexandra and Cheltenham Town, and he was the fourth official for the EFL Cup Final in 2015 between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Video Assistant Referee system will be in use for the final and Neil Swarbrick will be in charge of VAR – as he was for both semi final ties between Arsenal and Chelsea – and he will be assisted by Peter Kirkup.
