Mesut Ozil has given an update on the knee injury he sustained recently and he could be in line for a return to action when Arsenal face West Bromwich Albion on Monday.

The 28 year old German international missed last week’s ties with FC Cologne and Chelsea having suffered some minor inflammation in his knee, and manager Arsene Wenger has already ruled him out of contention for tonight’s third round EFL Cup clash with Doncaster Rovers.

He has however now returned to first team training and with West Brom taking place on Monday evening at the Emirates Stadium, he now naturally comes back into contention for that as long as the week in training goes well.

He revealed the news on his Instagram account.
