German international Mesut Ozil has has again been speaking about how happy he is at Arsenal and he says that speculating about his future would be wrong, we’ll simply see what happens when he and the club talk over the summer.

The other day manager Arsene Wenger revealed that contract talks for Ozil and Alexis Sanchez had been stalled until the end of the campaign and of course the media speculation about their futures has been pretty much daily for a while now.

With Ozil sticking to the line that he’s happy at the club, giving rise to a certain belief that he’s more likely to commit to a new deal than Alexis is, he’s again been quoted in the media at least trying to manage the speculation, if not end it.

The Standard have him saying.

‘The fact is I`ve still got a contract in London. To speculate now would be wrong. At the end of the season we will see, there will be talks. I`m very happy at Arsenal and in London.’

Having missed the starting line up in the last five games and missed out on the friendly against England with his hamstring problem, it’s not expected that he will come back into contention for the game against West Bromwich Albion but with us needing a strong end to the campaign, hopefully he won’t be far off and we’ll see him at his best for the remaining matches.

Pressed on our current form, he went on to say.

‘We are having a difficult phase. Somehow something is not working with the team. We are letting in a lot of goals. Maybe it`s down to self-belief. When I look at the quality of Arsenal though I`m convinced we will get on a run again soon.’
