Following yesterday’s speculation of a deal being agreed between Arsenal and Liverpool for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, that deal was confirmed earlier today.

Having spent six years with Arsenal following his arrival from Southampton, he made a total of 199 appearances, scoring 20 times and across the years he played his part in helping Arsenal to three FA Cup wins and of course he put in the man of the match showing in the semi final victory over Chelsea last season.

He also gained 27 senior England caps whilst with the club.

The fee is undisclosed but believed to be in the region of £35million and the medical took place at St George’s Park given he’s away with the national side at this moment in time.

Liverpool say he has signed a long term contract and the speculation yesterday was that he had agreed a six year deal with his new club.
