Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s Arsenal future will be secured shortly as the England midfielder will be offered a new £100,000 a week deal within the fortnight according to the Mirror?

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who gained the praise of Arsene Wenger for his FA Cup semi-final performance in a wing back role against Manchester City – one of those clubs mentioned in connection with a summer interest, will be offered a six figure deal on a long-term contract in a bid to secure his Arsenal future, with Wenger confident he’ll sign.

Wenger still has high hopes for Oxlade-Chamberlain, 23, and feels the best years of his career, which has always promised much but not delivered, will be at Arsenal. But Liverpool are ‘watching developments closely’ and will reportedly make a move in the summer if he’s able to move into the final 12 months of his current deal.

A foot injury in Sunday’s cup-tie saw Oxlade-Chamberlain leave Wembley on crutches, this isn’t a serious setback but he did sit out the win over Leicester, keeping alive the Gunners’ top-four hopes, on Wednesday.
