Two more players have been reflecting on the hard fought point Arsenal took from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at the weekend.

Taking the first clean sheet since 2005 at their ground in the scoreless draw, the German defender knew we could’ve taken all three points from the game.

Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media, Mustafi praised the team performance but with chances going begging there had to be some disappointment from the 90 minutes.

‘Happy? No, because I would like to win games like today. But I think in the end it`s a fair point. I think we had some great opportunities and they had a few at the end. One point at their ground, you can live for that and try to build from this team performance. I think the team performance was spot on. Everyone gave everything and I think it`s really important that we keep going like this.’

As for the London derby element to the game, he went on to say.

‘It is high tempo. You get games like this, when you have two teams that are both going for the three points. You could see today that both teams did that. That`s what I love about playing in the Premier League because you can see that everyone is going to try and win, try and perform. I think in the end, even though we didn`t get the three points, we performed and now we can go with that into the next game.’

As for the one key header that fell his way across the 90 minutes, he explained.

‘I saw someone behind me, so I thought I wasn`t offside. I knew I started a bit early, but I know as a defender it`s hard to stay in one line, so you get some going early, some a bit later. I thought if I start a split-second early, I might get this advantage. I got it but unfortunately the man behind me was Sead and no one from the Chelsea team. I was really unhappy with that but it was offside.’

Asked on positives Arsenal could take moving forward.

‘We are a team that are willing to learn. I think that we have to try and build from something and I think we can build form this performance today because we were really well organised when we didn`t have the ball. When we had the ball, we played some brilliant one-touch football. I think we can build from this. We played today against the champions of last season and if you play like this, I think you`ll get a lot of points. We can build from that.’

As for Ramsey, in his own press interviews he felt the game would serve as a good ‘statement’ from the side and now it’s about showing the consistency we need.

‘It was a good performance, one that we needed against a top team. We played really well today and it was a performance where we were together. We showed that we can compete against the best.’

As for the statement element.

‘Yeah, of course. We needed this, we were due one and we showed today that we re able to come away from home and compete against the best teams in the league. We can take a lot of positives from this today and hopefully have a successful season. We`ve shown today that we`re more than capable of competing against some of the best teams in the league. It`s important now to capitalise on this result. We`ve got a couple of home games now, hopefully we can win them and put ourselves in a good position again.’

As for his chance on the day.

‘I saw it open up for me and tried to get it out from between my feet and unfortunately it hit the post. I felt we played really well today. The performance was solid and we showed what we`re capable of doing. We played really well today. We were together out there, everybody fought for each other and we showed what we`re capable of doing away from home against a top team. Hopefully we can continue that throughout the season.’
