David de Gea may be the latest person to introduce himself to the most saves in a game table, but plenty of familiar faces appear.

Following the Jose Mourinho described ‘world’s best’ performance from the Spanish international in Manchester United’s three one victory over Arsenal, Arsene Wenger knew that with 15 shots on target and 14 saved, the game would’ve been different had it not been for the ‘man of the match by a clear mile’ and whilst de Gea takes the headlines this week having matched the Premier League record – these are the other players who deserve a round of applause.

The table is the most saves in a single game in the Premier League since August 2003 which is when Opta began compiling the data and a hattip the BBC.
