Egyptian international Mohamed Elneny has today signed a new long-term contract at Arsenal.
The 25-year-old moved to the club back in January 2016 from Basel for a reported £5million fee, and he’s now notched up 65 appearances in total under Arsene Wenger.
26 of those showings have been in the campaign of 2017/18 and he scored his second club goal in the six-nil rout of BATE Borisov in the Europa League tie earlier in the campaign.
Curiously there’s no news of the exact length of his new deal, it’s simply being reported as ‘long-term’ but that shouldn’t take too long to clarify to the fans in all honesty.
Officially we will be together for a longer time, in order to reach what we started, and to put arsenal in it's deserved spot In Europe and the whole world#WeAreArsenal ♥️♥️#WeAreGunners 💪🏼💪🏼 pic.twitter.com/1Sg8JzVhmt

Initial reactions to the news has certainly been positive from most fans and some took the opportunity to try and encourage a few others in the dressing room to commit to new deals of their own!
Love you Mo ❤️
