Manu Eboue and Manu Adebayor have both denied any wrongdoing during the ugly scenes in the closing stages of the Carling Cup Final.

Both Manu`s along with Kolo Toure and Jon Obi Mikel were all charged for their part in the brawl.

Adebayor and Mikel have both had appeals for wrongful dismissal turned down by the FA, but Adebayor will appeal his second charge of failing to leave the pitch after being sent off.

Adebaoyr could end up serving a 6 match ban for trying to break up the brawl then getting upset after being wrongfully sent off.

Kolo Toure will serve a 3 match ban, as will Eboue but Mikel will serve a 4 match ban because this was his second red card of the season.

Eboue`s case will be heard today and an announcement is expected some time this afternoon.

  • I just read some shocking shocking numbers in terms of fouls/per yellow ratio and this was the final straw. You may want to see them yourselves, the link is on the forum. Throughout the season I have maintained that this can happen to every team in the EPL, but after last nights game, and the ‘brawl’ in Cardiff, where the FA FAILED to see the wrongdoing of one Mr. Drogba and Mr. Essien, I am 100% convinced that something SMELLY is going on in that ROTTEN house of football. Where are the DRAMA and the MEDIA HYPE NOW, I may ask? Where is the condoning of the PI$$ POOR officiating by the utter kunt that is Graham Poll? Where is the constant repeating of the penalty NOT GIVEN? Or Gamst Pedersen’s whack on the ball when Wenger was holding it? I guess if it was Fabregas we would never hear the end of it. The FA is a JOKE, and there is no end to their hypocrisy. Bunch of inept liars.

  • i hope the siege mentality that G4L has is being copied by the players. The FA is a joke we all know that so we shouldnt be suprised if Adebayor still gets a 5 match ban. Eboue is guilty, its irrelevant that Bridge’s act was as scummy as you would expect from a CFC left back. We have campaigns galore about diving etc yet nobody will do anything about bridge so next time Ronaldo dives to knock england out of a major tournament i hope i hear no complaints. No charges for the Celery throwing either i see, il be nipping to the market pre chelsea home game to get some tomatoes to aim at cashley now that fruit and veg throwing has been classifed as acceptable.

  • Jacky B, the appeal against Eboue’s red card was purely tactical (although it didn’t work out in the end anyway). They had offered a 3 match ban, and if arsenal had not appealed by 6pm yesterday that ban would have come into affect & he would’ve missed the blackburn game. They appealed & he was then free to play, but they also know he will be found guilty today & probably given a 4 match ban for a frivolous appeal!!

  • No complaints about Eboue, perhaps he will say something in his defence, like the stamp on his ankle by Pedersen, that was characterized only by a foul. It’s backs against the wall Arsenal. Let’s see some character from the bruised and wounded.
