Manchester City Not An Option For Arsenal

Arsenal aren’t prepared to sell Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City.

It has been claimed before, no doubt it will again, with the Sunday Express saying Arsene Wenger is ‘prepared to play a £30 million high risk game of Russian roulette’ having refused point blank to let Alexis join City.

Having failed to agree a new deal and seemingly made up his mind to leave the Emirates Stadium it comes down to Arsenal deciding if Alexis should be sold now or will be allowed to leave on a free in 12 months time – it is claimed opting for the latter is preferred to dealing with a Premier League rival now.

This roll on the roulette wheel would see a ‘not for sale’ stance relaxed if Paris Saint Germain or Bayern Munich upped their efforts. The Gunners will sell to either but Man City simply isn’t an option, well, according to the Express.

Meanwhile, in terms of incoming players, Arsenal have made an increased offer to Monaco for Thomas Lemar, reports L’Equipe.

An offer of £35m was turned down by the French champions but the Gunners have now increased the bid to £40m in the hope of securing Lemar, 21, who is a player Monaco have too insisted wasn’t for sale.
