After taking a beating at the hands of Arsenal in midweek, Real Madrid looked to get their season back on track when they traveled to Real Mallorca in La Liga yesterday.

The Spanish giants looked like they had got back on track when defender, Sergio Ramos headed home to make it 1-0 to the Galactico’s in the first half.

However, Madrid’s world came crashing down around their ears for the second time in a week when Leonardo Pisculichi slotted home a spot kick after Real’s goal scorer conceded a penalty.

Worse was to come when ten minutes from time Juan Arango fired home the winner and all but ended Real Madrid’s hopes of winning the title.

Real Madrid’s season somewhat mirror’s the Gunner’s in terms of inconsistancy. The inability to put a run together has cost both teams dearly.

  • pathetic attempt to detract the attention away from the fact that you just lost to blackburn and that you are now 7th and potentially could be 8th if west ham draws or win the next game…

  • And you just copied what the fellow above said, how very intelligent. Not detracting attention at all, we have a massive game ahead of us in what will be our last attempt to revive a somewhat flagging season, and ARSENAL FANS will be interested to know whats going on in Madrid. But then again, Spurs have never played in a match this big have they.

  • The way things are going, Arsenal should be keeping an eye on Gretna – as they could be playing each other in the UEFA Cup next year…

  • exactly the way you played against real madrid is not called excelleant its called lucky.

  • If you intend on coming here and slagging us off pompeyboy, please make sure you run a spell check first 😉

  • Pompeyboy, simple question for you. When do you think your team will ever have a chance to be able to qualify to play in europe.

  • im not getting into a slagging war im just stating you state that the match was amazing it was very dull and lifeless and madrid where there for the taking. And also you were lucky apart from one good run by a player that is going to leave you, that was it. and please don’t start on about spellings(YOU GOT THE JIST OF WHAT I WAS SAYING)

  • and how is Yakubu playing for you pompeyboy?!! shut up you tart!! anyway, Arsenal played fantastically well compared to our recent run in form and showed the type of commitment everyone expects of an Arsenal player. with all the injury’s and with such a young side we did brilliantly.

  • what the hell how did yakubu get involved. anyway u played with some pasison and that was it. but your players usually play with no pasison so u found it exciting.gd 4 u
