Arsenal’s striking starlet Arturo Lupoli will return to Italy when his conttract expires in the summer

The Italian had been tipped but his Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and team-mate Thierry Henry as the successor to the French striker but it now seems that it will not happen.

Lupoli arrived at Arsenal two and a half seasons ago after scoring an average of 1.5 goals per game in Parma’s youth team.

Arsenal fan’s were unaware of his talents at first but they sonn became interested in him when he began to repeat his goal-scoring exploits for the reserve team.

Lupoli’s agent now says that the midget is off to Italy with teams such as Inter, Milan, fiorentina and Napoli all showing a keen interest in the teenager.

Lupoli’s agent said: “He is liked by Torino, Napoli and Fiorentina, but Inter and Milan have registered their interest in the last few days.

“Although he is very young, his contract is set to expire because the player wants to go home, despite Arsenal`s interest in renewing his contract.

“As a result, they are now ready to sell him in January for a small fee rather than losing him for nothing at the end of the campaign.

“The only obstacle is that Derby County, who signed him on loan until June, are still counting on his services.”
