Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has reportedly said leaving Arsenal to return to his old club Cologne would make him happier than winning the World Cup.

The German newspaper (I’ve no idea how reliable it is) claims to have quotes from Podolski saying he would like to leave Arsenal and return home.

Koelnische Rundschau quote him as saying “‘Only re-joining Cologne would be more amazing than this [winning the world cup], but I shouldn’t say too much or else I’ll get myself into bother,’

How accurate the quotes are I`ve no idea, however I wouldn`t be surprised if they were true. Despite being one of Arsenal’s most lethal strikers Podolski has only been a bit-part player, mostly coming off the bench.

Indeed when he does start he is usually substituted before the end of the game. Gooners who use Twitter often have a sweepstake going as to when he`ll be brought off.

I usually go for 67 minutes.
