Full back Carl Jenkinson confirmed over the weekend that he was set to rejoin the players for full training in today’s (Monday) sessions.
Having spent the last two season’s out on loan with West Ham, the player returned over the summer looking to hopefully cement a place in Arsene Wenger’s thoughts, and he’s been working hard to return to full fitness following a lengthy spell out on the sidelines.
The 24 year old right back suffered cruciate ligament injuries during his time at Upton Park last season, and he has been out of action for nine months following surgery and then his long road back to fitness.
The light is in sight though, and yesterday evening he took to twitter to announce.
Back in full training tomorrow… Feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve ????

With Hector Bellerin’s form, and Mathieu Debuchy in back up, it’s likely January will see another loan move for him to get regular action under his belt, but spending the next few months training and building himself up that way will obviously be welcomed and enjoyed by him following that length on the sidelines.
He remains contracted to the club until the summer of 2018.
