As Barcelona & AC Milan drew 0-0 last night, Arsenal were handed yet another European giant to play in their quest for Champions League glory.
Barca progressed to the final with a 1-0 aggregate win over AC as the second leg ended in stalemate. Eto’o & Kaka went very close in the first half and Shevchencko had a perfectly good goal ruled for a foul on Puyol, when replays clearly show there was no contact and the player had actually slipped. The reffering decision was about as good as the one to award Villarreal a penalty against the Gunners the previous night.
The final will now be contested between Arsenal & Barcelona on Wednesday May 17th, and will host some of the worlds best players who play the slickest football in Europe.
It will certainly be a lip smacking nerve wracking night.
