According to Gazzetta dello Sport – via the Mirror – Inter Milan can be added to the list of clubs interested in signing Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

We’re all aware of Alexis’ ‘contract situation’ at Arsenal and so too are various clubs around Europe – in fact the world – with the future of the Chilean set to decided in the summer?

Inter Milan’s interest has seen is claimed they’re willing to offload one of their own star players Ivan Perisic in order to ‘make room’ for Alexis at the San Siro as the fallen giants of Italian football look to lure the Arsenal striker back to Serie A.

That’s an issue for the future – how much of this is fact or fiction is up to you to decide – and we have to focus on the present. Which saw Alexis’ Panenka penalty earn Arsenal a dramatic 98th minute win over Burnley on Sunday.

Alexis showed absolutely no nerves and clearly – we know this already – doesn’t lack confidence by scoring his cheeky penalty winner, which Arsene Wenger said was ‘too cool.’

When asked for his take on Alexis’ penalty during his conference after the 2-1 win at the Emirates Stadium Wenger was quoted by Sky Sports as saying.

‘He was too cool. He has missed penalties for us, he was in fact, not the first penalty taker today – it was Giroud. But he was second. But as long as he scores, you know, we just have to accept and say ‘well done’.’
