It’s been reported this afternoon that Inter Milan have had a loan move for Shkodran Mustafi rejected by Arsenal.

Sky Sports Italian counterparts were reporting the news and they believed the Serie A side are now likely to return with a permanent cash offer having failed on the loan move, but how much they are willing to pay remains to be seen as it’s said that Arsenal want to recoup as much money on him as we can.

Mustafi joined us from Valencia last summer on a deal that was reportedly worth a total fee of £35million and he 37 appearances across all competitions in 2016/17, he has however yet to make an appearance this year.

The suggestion is following the signing of Sead Kolasinac we are happy for him to move on now, but he was on the bench for the Leicester City opener and he’s still regaining full fitness having been given extra time off this summer following Germany’s Confederations Cup exploits, so this might not be as nailed on as it would sound for some.
