Hleb: Blame Us

Arsenal’s wiley winger, Alex Hleb says the only thing to blame for Arsenal ‘poor’ league position is the players and their poor finihing.

This sason has seen a whole host of missed opportunities which could have been easier to score rather than miss.

‘I have watched United a couple of times. If they have chances, they use them. Their execution is on the highest level,’ Hleb told the Daily Mirror.

‘Even if we just converted one out of five chances, we would be right up there with them, even if we weren’t quite on the same level. And we would have had fewer problems in the UEFA Champions League too.’

‘Of course we’re the ones to blame for missing from unthinkable positions, though bad luck does play its part too.’

I have to say he’s right. Games should, and could, have been won against Villa, Boro, Newcastle & Everton, which would have left us just two points behind Chelsea.

But now is the time to stop thinking about what could/should have been, and concentrate on the future.

Starting at the JJB tonight.
