Peter Hill-Wood is hoping to enlist the help of Silent Stan Kroenke in order to shut out a possible takeover of the club.

The current Arsenal board had previously agreed a 12 month lock-down period in which no member may buy or sell any of their shareholdings.

It is hoped that that period will be extended for another year, and that the American Tycoon will lend a helping hand in this apparent public protest.

‘I think it would be rather nice if he would join the lockdown. It’s obviously up to him, but we would certainly welcome it,’ Hill-Wood told the Daily Telegraph.

‘He now sees the benefits of a long-term relationship with us and he is not remotely interested in making a bid.

‘He knows perfectly well what we are up to with the lockdown and I don’t think he disapproves of it. We have been comforted by that. We don’t want to be taken over.’

The noises coming for Hill-Wood and his buddies are extremely comforting and everything appears to be being handled in the right way, the Arsenal way.
