Henry: We All Have To Raise Our Game

Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has been somewhat unfortunate not to bag a couple of goals in the past few games and frustration is starting to set in.

After pinging a post yesterday and twice at Bolton, Henry reckons things aren’t going our way.

?It is a very disappointing result,? he said. ?At crucial points of the game things did not go our way.

?I don?t know why the goal of Robin van Persie was disallowed. And, at the moment, it seems I hit the post more than I hit the target. I did it twice at Bolton and then, at Newcastle, Shay Given made an amazing save. I hit the post again today but I suppose that is sometimes the way it is.

?This result showed [why] they are the current champions. It can happen that you lose against Chelsea. I am not saying I like it but it can happen.

?Not wanting to take anything off them but if that ball had hit the post and gone in and the ref could have been a bit nicer and let that goal of Robin go in then it could have been another game. But the decisions went their way and they put the ball in the back of the net. It was an open game but they scored at the crucial points.

?Things are not going our way,? he went on. ?It is not an excuse it is a fact at the moment. We just need to keep on going and try to take the positives out of the game. We have not been outplayed but once again we lost.

?Speaking as a captain, the main thing is that we all have to raise our game. It is not just one or two players. We all have to. We?ll have to do that asap at Doncaster and at Charlton.?
