This weekend see’s the Arsenal take on Tottenham at Highbury for the final time.

This fixture is always passionate to say the least, but this season has the added spice of being the final ever game between the two at the Home Of Football AND possibly being the 4th Champion’s League place decider. Come on!!!

Cast you minds back.

Date: 16th November 2002

Place: Highbury, aka The Home Of Football.

Visitors: Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal were dominant that day, casting Spurs aside in a 3-0 demolition, which could have been more with the Gunners actually finding the net on five occasions, two being ruled out for narrow offsides.

The goals that day came from Wiltord, Ljungberg and an awesome goal, that was later voted the goal of the season, from Thierry Henry.

Thierry picked the ball up 20 yards from his own net, he was quickly on his way, leaving the Spurs midfield for dead, then skinning their entire defence before beautifully bending the ball home with his left peg, a truly unreal strike.

Having just ran the length of the pitch to score, he did the return leg to celebrate, on his knee’s, in front of the Spurs fans (see article picture), something he later admitted wasn’t the best idea, not because it upset anyone but because he was completly knackered for the next 15 minutes.

Anyway, enough with all the talking, you want to see the goal, right?

Well here it is…….

Thierry Henry Wonder Goal v Spurs.

It will take a few minutes to load, but we all know it’s worth it.
