Personally I’m getting sick of Thierry Henry transfer rumours, it’s boring, but I guess it’s our job to bring you the news so here goes.

The lazy hacks couldn’t have been more predictable if they’d have tried. Only minutes after the news that Stan Kroenke had bought 9.9% of Arsenal shares had broke, news articles were appearing that Henry was to be sold in the summer.

Henry himself was concerned with the stories and went to see Le Boss.

Arsene Wenger takes up the story.

“The story is wrong, I had a chat with Thierry this morning. He asked me whether I`d read the newspapers. I`d not heard about his story. But it`s completely invented. He`s clear, he wants to stay. I`m clear, I want him to stay. So that story has been created.

“He wanted to make it obvious to everybody. I was not concerned because I know the day Thierry Henry wants to leave he will knock at my door and say: ‘Listen, I want to go somewhere.` As long as he didn`t do that [I wasn`t worried].”

Now please, this crap has been going on for far too long and it’s getting mundane.

  • Henry is Arsenal all the way. Like Gilberto, when he’s not there is when we see his true value…

  • I get sick of the stories too, but having a player as good as him at the grove, brings with it, its own media speculation. Load of old crap, he will end up on the staff at the grove. His blood is red an white.

  • These stories were invented by a sports journo who is a tool. How they keep coming up with it is beyond me. Mind you I dont know how the footballing world can complain about the media. Isn`t it the media that generates the millions they pay them so well. Stories are what follows henry around sadly.

  • actually, i have the latest scoop on his transfer… because he wants to move to london colney, he has been offered a deal at BARNET ! yes yes yes , that is the truth, honest guv !

  • he is a class player so with any player of his quality then there are always going to be rumours sometimes you just have to ignore them its probably some idiot in spain with nothing else better to do mis quoting the cleaning lady and selling that “story” to the press
