Thierry Henry has broken another record today by being named the player of the year by the ‘Football Writers Association.

This is the third time Henry has recieved this award, winning it previously in 2003 and 2004.

Henry’s goal scoring record this year has been as amazing as ever scoring on 29 occassions so far this season with 3 Premiership game and the Champions League final still to play.

With his strike rate Henry is probably the most consistent striker in Europe and there is no suprise a whole host of teams are after him, lets just hope he see’s sense and sign a new contract.

The Arsenal captain will receive his latest award at the FWA dinner at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, in London, on Thursday May 11th.

In the last 5 years only one of these awards has gone to a Player outside of Arsenal football club.

  • How true, he is the ultimate and probably the best player, he truly deserves this award.

  • Well accomplished henry.U surely needed they crown.Hope to see u continue that with arsenal next season.

  • The ALL TIME Gunner Legend deserves that accolade.
Thierry, PLEASE SIGN UP first, THEN take on Barcelona in the CL Grand Final in Paris. That would be a MASSIVE MORALE BOOSTER for the other Gunners to take the spoils in Paris.

The Gunner fans from the world over love you heaps as an Arsenal icon.
