Thierry Henry has fallen in love with the city of London, it is his home now and he says he will never leave.

Just 48 hours after the crushing defeat in the Champion League final by Barcelona Henry signed a new four year deal with the Gunners announcing ‘I will finish my career with Arsenal’, but even when his illustrious career finishes he won’t leave London.

‘London is my home. I love London and I will never leave here whatever happens. I am proud of it. It is never easy for someone from abroad to come and be accepted.’

Speaking at the launch of his brand new Reebok sponsorship Henry also wanted to set a few things straight. The Gunners marksman is world renouned for his famous scowl and ‘arrogant’ goal celebrations, but the Frenchman doesn’t want to be perceived like that off the pitch.

‘I know it is difficult to believe because when I see myself on the pitch I can’t believe how serious I look. But that’s the way I am and I will never change. Off the pitch I am not the same guy you see on the pitch. I am chilled and laid-back. It must be my West Indian roots.’

However Henry doesn’t have a problem with his on pitch antics.

‘In the game you need a bit of arrogance. I have never been scared of saying that I am confident of my abilities. Some people have a problem about saying that but I know what I am good at and what I am not good at.’
