Thierry Henry has been speaking to ‘France Football’ about the reasons he decided to remain at the North London club.

The footballing world is now well aware of the French strikers intentions, and now Henry has revealed why.

‘Of course, I thought about leaving Arsenal,’

‘It is a big decision, because in my mind, if I commit myself with that club perhaps it will be for my whole life.

‘I am only 28-years-old, but when I see the fans and the way they treat me, it has helped me to make my decision.’

Henry was far from world class when he arrived at Highbury, but now, as he strives to become the world’s greatest footballer, he know’s who he has to thank for his status.

‘The Premiership and the club gave me a lot. I don’t owe anything to anyone, but sometimes you have to realise where you are and how much people gave you.’

‘The decision is also greatly linked to my family. I love to live in London with my wife and daughter. I am proud to be French, but London is my ‘home’.

‘The truth is I love that club and I have decided to stay.’
