Henry: Home Sweet Home

Arsenal Cap’n Thierry Henry says the first couple of games at Ashburton Grove felt a little weird, but he is finally starting to feel like he’s at home.

As with any major change in lifestyle, certain things take some getting used to. We all knew it would take time to come to know AG as home, but it came as a culture shock nevertheless.

However, as the Arsenal board look to help the fans feel more at home with the aid of a few decorations, Thierry Henry has said he feels more at home.

‘At the very beginning it was a bit difficult because we all miss Highbury, even people who don’t support Arsenal or don’t play for Arsenal knew it was special,’ Henry told Sky Sports News.

‘On the other side, you can see it’s an amazing setting here. The pitch is great, the stadium is great. The first two games were difficult for me, now it seems like we have a home.’

Arsene Wenger has echo’ed Henry’s sentiments with the usual descriptive and insighful way of looking at things.

‘Now we feel when we play at home, it’s here and it’s like moving into a new flat. said Wenger.

‘The first night when you wake up and don’t really know where you are. After a few days you feel at home.’

‘It was exactly the same after three or four games, you know where everybody is and where you go. On the pitch you know where to be and how to use the space we have because we have more space now.’
